Haraka, haraka

The last two weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind and the next three are bidding fair to be even busier as we prepare for and carry out our first wheelchair distribution at CBR.
They have a wonderful proverb here in Kenya which had started to ring true for us-

“Haraka, haraka
Haina baraka!”
(Haste, haste
It’s no blessing!)

But just as we were beginning to panic we received a timely reminder that brought peace into our turmoil. CBR gloryWe caught sight of this tree today at the CBR centre and we thought of the words of Lao Tzu “Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.”
And then we remembered the exhortation in the gospels to “Consider the lilies of the field” so we now feel more grounded and we hope you’ll bear with us if we happen to go a little quiet on you in the coming days!
