We’ve learnt a lot about waiting over the years and our conclusion is that waiting is not “a one size fits all” scenario. We have waited thirty years to get to this point of departure for Eldoret. For much of that time life has thrust other things under our noses to fret and rejoice over….the dream remained but the intensity waxed and waned.

This past week we have waited more than thirty hours as a family to receive some wonderful news: this waiting was intense, consuming and finally triumphant, helping to heal some of the memories of our waiting last year for the arrival of Joshua, Lucy and Dino’s first baby, born only to be laid to rest. We know that many of you have waited with us too, so we are thrilled to announce that the baby has safely arrived. It was quite a feat and the happy parents are now being kept very busy so details from us will need to wait until they have introduced this little one themselves!

One thing is certain: In all these vagaries of waiting we have known the presence of God and we are thankful.
